Director Terry Connolly to walk WALL OF CHINA for charity |
£5132 |
currently Terry
has raised a massive £5132...the fund is still open & payments can
still be made...see below for details
Cambuslang
BC Director Terry Connolly is set to tackle the great walk of life
in China later this year. Terry 54 years old, hopes that by completing
an eight day charity trek along the Great Wall of China he can raise
thousands of pounds for cancer respite home the Maggies's Centre.
Terry and his family have recently been touched
by cancer, losing his sister-in-law in Ireland to the disease and
just weeks later losing a neighbour and friend. Not many of us
have not been touched by cancer in some way or other in our lives. |

Help Terry raise money for cancer
|
Terry planned to raise with YOUR help £2500 and he involved our club and his local church, St.Bride's. He and his
wife are involved in Cambuslang Credit Union and they have agreed
to hold a bingo night to help raise money.
Cambuslang Bowling
Club 28th May held a Sports
Quiz night run by our very own 'Squirrel' started the
ball rolling in our club with all proceeds going to Terry's
charity.

Maggie's Centres are for anybody who has or
who has had cancer. They also help their families, friends and
carers.
The aim of Maggie's Centres is to help people with cancer to be as
healthy in mind and body as possible and enable them to make their
own contributions to their medical treatment and recovery.
Maggie's is first and foremost a homely, relaxing place to be in.
Its open all day and you can drop in any time to have a coffee and
a chat, if you want to learn more about your cancer or if you just
want a quiet somewhere to reflect and sit down

Glasgow Western Infirmary, Dumbarton Road.

Terry's trek along the
