	Unfortunately due to wet weather we were unable to bowl, but President Ian organised a fun horse racing event followed by a domino tournament and all winners received a litre bottle of whisky! A closing day dance was organised for the evening

sadly member Willie Semple died on the morning of 23 Oct.2008 President Ian Skillen, Directors & members of Canmbuslang BC pass on our sincere sympathies to the Willie's wife and family sadly member Colin Thomson died on 16 Nov.2008 .President Ian Skillen, Directors & members of Cambuslang BC pass on our sincere sympathies to Colin's mother and brother Robert and to his family and friends.    Funeral details : Daldowie Crematorium, Thurs. 20th Nov at 3.00pm ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ On Opening Day 4th April 2009 we unfurled a new flag donated to the club by Colin's mother Mrs Margaret Thomson, in memory of her son.

 

Community Service Award to Past President Peter Phillips

Citation read : Peter Phillips has been a volunteer worker in the community for many years. He was the treasurer for many years in the Cambuslang Miners Welfare and held the position of secretary and President of Cambuslang Bowling Club.
