Jun 18th 2010  RDBA Finals at Templeton BC
Cambuslang BC are delighted to be in 3 Rutherglen District Bowling Association finals, namely
Singles Championship  Craig Jamieson  v  Tollcross BC  Garry Bates
Senior Rinks  Tom Porte, Walter McNair, Jim Meikle, Jim Low  v  Tollcross BC
Gilliland Rinks  Alex Latimer, John Barton, Sandy McKean, Brian Page  v Kingswood BC
A lovely summers evening at Templeton BC and ideal for bowling saw all finals being played in a sporting fashion. Our singles finalist, Craig Jamieson got off to a good start and took an early lead but his opponent fought back to overcome that lead and win the game 21 shots to 10.  I am however delighted to report our other two rink finalists both won their games and Cambuslang are the RDBA 2010 champion Senior rinks and champion Gilliland League winners.
Templeton BC were lovely hosts for the evening and President Robert Nicol can be proud of his committee and lady members.

July 10th 2010  Cambuslang BC v Templeton BC
Our bi-annual home match against our good friends from Templeton BC was well attended with 38 bowlers, we managed to average 9 ends of bowls before the heavy rain stopped play. This didn't dampen our spirits and a hearty meal followed by a few sociable drinks ensured old and new friendships were rekindled. President Peter Phillips is seen here with the Vice President of Templeton BC and his rink. President Robert Nicol sent his apologies as he had RDBA duties to perform at his own club.
