Hoad memorial triples |

Cambuslang Bowling
Club’s annual ‘Jimmy Hoad memorial’ triples,
sponsored by his son Stuart of Hoad Bulk Services
since 2006.
The tournament was successfully run and
organised by Past President Ian Skillen and
Director Alan
Johnston. Twenty-two teams from within and
around the area played in this years tournament
and after a lovely days bowling the final was
played
between Burnbank Hamilton BC and Halfway BC. with the
Burnbank Hamilton team being victorious. |

A well organised event run by match
secretary Jim Low.
The final was played between Past President Alex Latimer
& Jeanette Knox against Colin Johnston and his mum
Jessie.
The winners were Alex & Jeanette who will represent the
club in next years SBA mixed pairs competition. |

President's Ryder Cup |
.We
hosted our annual
President’s Ryder Cup tournament
on Saturday 6th August which
was run by Match committee member Alan
Johnston and Past President Will McArthur. The
format of this tournament is the President’s
team plays against the Vice –President’s team
and everyone plays singles, rinks, triples and
pairs. At the end of the tournament the
President’s team won by 2 points and the most
valued player was non other that Past President
Will McArthur and the booby prize went to our
social convenor John McKillop, who has been told
to stick to the social side of the club and
leave the bools to others!
