We had
our
Opening Day on Saturday 02nd
April, 2022 and after two
years of covid
restrictions it was wonderful
to see so many friends and
members at the
club. President Andy
Robinson was welcomed onto the
green by club
secretary Ann Phillips.
Visitors from local clubs were
present as were Bowling Reps
from the
Glasgow Bowls and Rutherglen
Bowls Associations, Past
Provost
Russell Clearie
and his wife Past Depute
Provost Pam Clearie.
A great day for bowling, dry
weather and hospitality all
added to a very enjoyable
afternoon.
President
Robinson thanked all who
attended and thanked
Hon.President
Peter Phillips who worked
tirelessly all day at the bar,
Hon.President
Ian Skillen who organised the
bowling and Secretary Ann
Phillips for all the work they
do for the Bowling Club.
Sadly
we learned that member Willie
Johnston passed away in the
early
hours and in remembrance the
flag was lowered to half mast.
