Sunday 7th July the Rutherglen District Bowling Association Jubilee Triples was held at Tollcross B.C.
Cambuslang B.C. won their section and made the final against our good friends at Halfway B.C.
A keenly fought match was eventually won by the Cambuslang Triple.
It was great to win a trophy for our club celebrating its 150th year.

  20 July
   CBC v Whitefield BC
Saturday 20th July we welcomed our friends from Whitefield BC headed by President Jim Hefferland.
One rink and five triples competed on a wet drizzly day but the weather didn't dampen the spirits.
A very sociable day was had by all and our thanks to Hon President Ian Skillen for organising the matches and our thanks to President Peter Phillips for his exceptional hospitality.
CBC narrowly won the bowls.

 26 July
   Club Member Brian Page
2011
Brian winning the Club Championship in 2011
2014
and winning the Club Championship in 2014

After a cancer diagnosis Brian spent some time in Kilbryde Hospice where he was cared for, but sadly this morning
26 July 2024 he passed away.   Brian was a member of Cambuslang B.C. for twenty-six years, joining in 1998.
A very good and keen bowler who got great enjoyment in his life through being a member of our club, where he
made many friends.  He was delighted in 2011 to win our club championship and indeed won it again in 2014.
Condolences to his immediate family and friends.  His funeral was as he wished, a private cremation.
