1961 First World War memorial moved to its present location at the
Westcoats Road front gate entrance.....(These pictures were taken July 2000)
Note the flower pedestal, one of the four which was donated to the club in 1897.
( green to the left of the wreath.)
A wreath is laid by our local British Legion to honour and commemorate the fallen

Our war memorial includes the names of a number of the founder members
of Cambuslang and District Ex-Servicemen's Club (Whitefield BC).

1963 Club granted a licence to sell Excisable Liqueur.
In 1904 The committee voted, on the casting vote of the President, to register for an Excisable Liqueur Licence. Unfortunately due to a misunderstanding by the secretary ( he tried to register for match days only ), this registration was never made and it wasn't until 1963 ( yes 1963 ) that the club was granted a Licence to sell Excisable Liquor.
