A
lovely day at the Ladies Opening Day,
celebrating their centenary, the Lady President
welcomed all her guests into the club and a lull
in the weather meant she was able to officially
open the green and invite the ladies on for a
few end of bowls.
After the bowling it was time to enjoy our meal,
partake in a few drinks and rekindle
friendships.
Lady President Ann gave a speech welcoming
everyone and thanking them for their kind
wishes. Past Lady President Mary Russell,
the longest serving member, gave a speech
reminiscing of days gone by and President Peter
Phillips on behalf of the Gents wished the
ladies good health and fortune for the next 100
years. Hospitality flowed and a great
afternoon was had by everyone. Congratulations
and best wishes to our Lady President Ann
Phillips.
