South Lanarkshire Civic Reception to commemorate the Ladies
Section centenary year
Cambuslang Ladies, the
Committee and partners were invited
along to the civic reception.
We were made very welcome and had a
lovely evening, our heartfelt thanks
to the South Lanarkshire staff and
the Provost.

The Provost plays a
very important ambassadorial role on
behalf of the council, representing
South Lanarkshire at many civic
occasions. The Provost also works
closely with community and
voluntary sector groups and
attends many events marking
important landmarks in
the lives of local citizens
including 100th birthdays and
Diamond Wedding Anniversaries etc.

2024 Ladies Bowls
Day, 11th June 2024
Lady President Ann
Phillips organised a Ladies bowls day,
inviting lady bowlers along from local clubs.
Over 50 ladies attended and the day was
to celebrate our Ladies Section 100th
anniversary and to raise money for the Lady
Provost Margaret Cooper's Kilbryde
hospicecharity.

Lady Provost
Margaret Cooper visited our club today and
presented Lady President Ann Phillips with a
quaich.
The ladies were delighted to receive a visit
from her and she was warmly welcomed.
All monies raised today will go to her
charity.

HOSPICE :Provides
specialist palliative care to patients
with life limiting progressive illnesses. And offers a
variety of clinical services designed to
support both patients and their carers.
