Sheriff Lindsay Wood has acquired a reputation as a humorous

He has spoken at functions for many top companies, leading football clubs, sporting organisations and various societies.
He draws on an extensive legal background he began his legal career as
a solicitor in Arbroath - and is renowned for his ready-wit and
entertaining stories about his experiences.

HIS nickname was Attila and he scared the living daylights out of defenders in Scotland. Mark Hateley is undoubtedly one of the greatest strikers to wear the Light Blue.
Aggressive, powerful, sensational in the air and equally adept on the
ground with his left foot. Formed a lethal partnership with McCoist and
scored 115 goals in 222 games.
Hateley didn’t receive the warmest welcome when he joined Rangers from
Monaco in 1990. It was amazing that fans questioned the ability of a
man who had spent three years with AC Milan, won 32 England caps and
played regularly at the highest level.
The fans doubts were ended when Hateley scored two goals against
Aberdeen at Ibrox delivering the championship to Rangers in his first
season.
His greatest season at Ibrox was the 1992-93 season when he provided a
seemingly endless list of highlights for the Rangers faithful. Perhaps
the most remembered was his outstanding display against Leeds in the
European Cup. Hateley scored with a magnificent 25-yard left foot
volley and then set up Ally McCoist’s diving header with an inch
perfect cross making it 2-0.
Hateley was voted Player of the year, by the Scottish Football Writers
Association in the 1993/94 season becoming the first Englishman to win
this prestigious award.
He left Rangers in the 1995 to join former Rangers teammate Ray Wilkins, who was now managing QPR.
Hateley briefly returned to Rangers to help the cause prior to the Nine
in a row decider at Parkhead and ended up getting sent off against
Celtic but Gers still won!
Now in the media business, he works in an ambassadorial role for Rangers.
