Aug 25th 2012  Cambuslang BC v Carmyle BC

The annual parish game between our two clubs took place but unfortunately we only managed 5 ends before the heavens opened and rain stopped play..........................

 Sept 15th 2012

 Kirkhill BC  v Cambuslang BC

Five triples for our annual parish match with our old friends at Kirkhill BC.
Weather for a change stayed dry and we managed to play 15 ends before heading into the club for our soup and steak-pie!
Cambuslang were the overall winners which pleased our President!

 Gents closing day

An excellent turnout for President Gordon Dick's closing day and the weather was also favourable.
We played a round robin of four x 6 ends in a pairs format, very enjoyable afternoon.

9th Jan 2013 -  John Brown    'auld Broon'
  .
.

Halfway & District B.C. member and past champion (twice) John Brown, passed away today. John was a lovely man who always had a smile on his face and a tale to tell. John was not a member of Cambuslang Bowling Club but he was a well kent figure here and will be greatly missed. He was affectionately known by all of us as
'auld Broon'
Sympathy and prayers go to his wife Moira and their family.

This was the last photo I have of John taken at
Cambuslang BC at our finals day last August.

John was a great friend of Vice-President John McKillop and they were like father and son.
The VP for his part looked after wee John and they were always together at our functions. John couldn't have wished for a better friend.

 .
Funeral arrangements: Thurs 17th Jan at 14:30 Flemington-Hallside Church thereafter to Sth.L.Council Crematorium for 15:30.
